I am sure the professional installers out there are aware but I finally figured out a problem I had with my install.

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Crew Cab that I have installed a Clifford Avantguard 4.

I previously had hooked up the Orange and Brown Accesory wire normally this would provide retained power but there was a problem since this truck already has retained power.   With both wires hooked up from the alarm (Orange to Orange) and (Gray to Brown) Almost everything worked fine except when I turned the key off the power seats did not start the exit mode and the chime "dinged" twice and the battery light lit up.  If I opened the door and then shut the truck off everything worked like normal.  So I assumed the Retained Power from the alarm and the Retained Power from the Truck were conflicting.  Today I removed the Gray(Alarm) from the trucks Brown wire (the wire that provided retained power to the radio.) and now everything works as it should.... I think!  It has only taken me 4 months to decide to try and fix the problem.

I don't know if this helps anybody out there or not.  Thought I would post my findings.:^:
