oh most definitely if it even took that long, someone else did my hood pin and tach, so i dont think it even took 90 minutes.. but work is starting to slow up because i have 3 other places undercutting me, so ill have more time to take pictures and such...a place 10 miles away is doing a one transmitter , one year warranty, 600 feet, and bypass and keyless/trunk for 199$ whoring up the market. mine is the same but with 2 transmitters and 800 feet for 359$. im suffering howie.. lol

Been through that and some thoughts. Two years ago some competition was installing Cat l Cliffords and Vipers for £200 ($300). That unit cost them £150! Throw in rent, wages etc etc and now they are all out of business. If I get a retailer, I always do the deal at my price because I normally know the car and can offer extras such as total (comfort) close and the customer isn't aware it's possible. (Timed output or built in comfort close plus at worst a relay which costs me about $2) I once travelled 110 miles for a single install on a 5 series BMW, and charged more than a local firm because the customer told me I sounded confident to him! Subtly rubbish the 600ft range you and I both know what the real world is like, rubbish the product (if you know what it is and it isn't DEI, Comp, Avox etc.) How long have they been in business etc. Then you might win customers from doing rectification work on their installs (this happens a lot with audio work) There's a firm in the UK called Halfords, they're a national chain who sell push bikes, parts tools, and audio, they don't have any real installing capabilities but probably sell more lower end head units from Ken, Pio and JVC then the rest of the trade combined. But they don't install and they never carry enough wiring interfaces or fascia kits, so you charge silly money for yours.

the one place has been open since october, the other place has been there about 2 years, and the third place believe it or not is a franchise of the store i am at. just terrible, i use Compustar, one of the stores uses avital, the other franchise has to been using junk, and the third store is a DEI authorized dealer. i wish i could do comfort closure along with the 359 but most american cars it isnt as easy as extending a lock or unlock pulse like the german cars
