Just joined the forum so here I go.
I have 10 foot Pelican Bass Raider with a 12v Trolling motor. Powered by a 12v Lithium Battery. Battery at rest after charging, nothing connected, is about 14v. All good.
My hook up is motors positive cable to cut off switch, cut of switch cable to positive battery terminal, negative motor cable directly to battery. I uploaded a simple diagram but not sure it worked.
When I test the battery with cut off switch set to off I get 16v. I removed both cables from the terminals And now I am back at 14v. Anyone know how this is possible.
