im helping my dad install some speakers in out boat.  it came with 2 speakers by the driver and pasanger seats, but we are going to be adding two more up front.  the only thing is, we have to drill the hole, and i cant find any info for a hold diameter.  the speaker is the clarion cm 1602-ret 6-1/2"............has anyone had any experience with these??  any help would be great

There should be a punch out on the box it came in. It will be roughly 5.5-5.75 inches. What you should do is make a circle cut out in some cardboard and cut till it fits, and then you will have a cutting diagram. Also when cutting in boats, make sure you know where the gas tank is.

the speakers were free, so there is no box, the people we got them from were just going to throw them away, they didnt even know if they worked.  all 4 do, so i think we got a steal, only thing, no box or manual.............i was thinking of doing the cardboard thing. thanks a lot
