Has anyone ever installed an alarm system on a boat?  I am trying to get some input to see if it is worth it.

Yep, They work however the shock sensor probably wont work due to the motion in the ocean... What kinda boat?

I have done quite a few for ski/wakeboard boats. Alot of them are on lifts in my area. The boats are easily broken into. My simple solution is to use a regular alarm. I don't hookup anything except a IR sensor. I use the trunk (optional output) to a relay to the ignition to reset the brain.  The siren and brain are in hidden locations. Take the cover off and step inside the baot it goes off. 2 way lcd remotes are great. This usually scares away the theives.
