I obtained a new 2010 GM truck tailgate handle with the built in back up camera to connect to my aftermarket radio and is a direct fit for my tailgate.
My only issue was I didn't know what the pinout for the camera was. There were six wires for this camera and being it was so new I could not find any diagrams for it. After a few tries I figured out the pinout and thought I would share.
Red - 12V positive
Black - 12V negative
Yellow - Video out +
Brown - Video out -
White - Shield for video wires (yellow & Brown)
Blue - Positive turn on lead (sending 12V+ to it turns on the camera)
Thanks for the info, we have an avalanche coming in Thursday to attempt to get vid from the camera.

how did u convert the 3 wires to a 2 wire coax?
I tied the brown wire and the shield wire together and then soldered an RCA end onto the wires.
2010 avalanche has only 4 wires. If you cut the grey harness a few inches from the camera, it contains 4 wires. Red Black White and a shield. If you look at the plug 8 inches down line where it plugs to the tailgate harness the wiring is a bit different. Red Black White and yellow. On the plug white is shield and yellow is video. I cut the grey cable in order to be able to reconnect if needed, in that harness white is video and shield is shield.
Spent the morning installing a pac piece into an OEM nav unit, only to find out from PAC that the radio they ordered was already programmed to accept a back up camera. Removed the pac unit from the deck and had to wire the camera to the brown plug that has a GREEN / WHITE wire at pin 5. Pin 6 is video and pin7 is video ground. 2010 Avalanche integrated back up camera works great following instructions from above post.
2 back up cameras in 2 days reminds me that I am too old to be sliding around on concrete floors.
what about if you didnt have the brown(3rd) plug bcuz the video goes to rear view mirror and didnt have factory nav. i added avicd3 and am trying to get / share video w the fact mirror and factory cam in tailgate which doesnt use coax for video, 2010 silverado.

At the camera, do you not have the colors at the initial post here?
