FYI to all.

Just installed a Pioneer Avic-D1 Nav system in a 2006 Mercury Mariner. Installation was pretty easy and no intallation kit was needed. No antenna adapter was needed either. Had to cut 3/8" from top of sub dash and 1/4" from bottom of sub dash. Rested on original slide bracket with some velcro.

Park brake wire was located at switch in console. Reverse wire tapped in from rear light. Speed sense wire is gray/ black at the gray square plug that plugged into the original radio unit only if it had a six cd unit.

Had a park brake error message at start up but disappeared after driving around for a few miles.

Great unit.
