I have been using idatalink for a bit now and I like how they work. THey also make life alot easier when it comes to anything multi-plex. CLick here for all that they offer as far as the wires go I do not have access to my database right now but I do not believe that the vue has changed at all since it came out so the 06 is more then likely the same.

I would just get an Audiovox AS-TCBM bypass box, and a blank "circle-plus" transponder key from howardkeys.com or eBay.....probably cheaper than a module.

I would have gone with a one-button remote starter instead of the APS-620. You can hook up keyless, but the aftermarket unit has no way to control the factory alarm.

Unless maybe something from idatalink.ca will control the alarm, I'm not sure about that.

The new Vue has the same new-style GM ignition wiring as many other cars......2007 Silverado/Suburban, Equinox, 2008 Cadillac CTS, ......they're all pretty much the same, so try searching for one of those.

The XK01 will control the locks and OEM alarm, and the XK06 will do the passlock. Obviously both modules are gonna be pretty pricey though. Not much of a diagram needed the lights are neg at the switch, horn is neg, brake positive in the drivers door sill, constant power in the drivers door sill, the rest is controlled from the modules. I'm with Chris I would go with a one button basic start on the new GM's.

Not on an '04, I can tell you that much. Arm/disarm is fact remote only. Just did one. BUT......I also set the remote start "aux" input trigger to 3 lock pulses and it now starts with the fact. AND aftermarket remote.

I tried using the XK06 on an 07 ION and it only worked some of the time. When it didn't work the key would not work as well. There is a way the use a couple of relays and a resistor, I'm not 100% if an 08 is the same, but worth looking into.
