You sure its a GT? Thats a 450,000 dollar car. Can be seen here: https://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/carrera_gt.asp

You will not find a tech sheet. It is a very limited production car. I sat in the passenger seat of one and drove around a parking lot back when I worked at a Porsche dealership.

Run guys you've got it all on this, D2B fibre optic PLUS CAN PLUS laser magic key. How easy can this be? Stuffed an Ipod conversion into the radio of a brand new one recently, sorry its a  PCM (Porsche Communications  Manager) now and it took 2 of us an hour's  work to strip to the point of removing the radio!

Does the comment $450k worth of trouble and what's wrong with the factory alarm mean anything? And don't forget the VW commonality which means the warning lights will plague you.

yes yes ya'll is IS THE 450 K JEWEL. the car is here in dubai and it is getting shipped to russia. in russia you have all kinds of thieves going after a car like this. some of these guys have doctorites in electrical engeniring. the oe alarm/doorlock module is right there under the pass side floor board. i just need the factory print out on it. our shop works on these kinds of cars daily so sending him down the road is not an option. plus we are already doing front and rear cams and ipod intergration.

Gregory I owe you an apology, if it's any consolation DEI's biggest foreign markets after the UK are Germany Russia and Israel. Note the Eastern European influence. I think you are on your own here though because  from your tone and attitude I'm assuming you are a pro and you've metered the existing unit and it's not telling you anything 'cause its all data. Unless it shuts down physically via a key in a door you have a problem. You might  be able to shut it down via the diagnostics.

Any tiny chance of obtaining a factory service manual for this vehicle and just hunting down the necessary wires? (i.e., if they even ARE wires... based on the aforementioned fiber optics discussion)

Pete ref "any chance of getting hold of the factory manual?"      Ha ha the guy who builds it writes it posted_image Funny thats how you get loads of UK spec cars in directechs and I've got loads of Viper/ Clifford/ West Coast T shirts!  The irony is that in Germany by law you can walk into a dealership and demand it. Here car manufacturers have "block exemption" from EU rules and can legally deny warantee if any one even changes a headlight bulb.
