I am new to this.

Does anyone have experience on hooking up a 1998 Corolla Starter disable using a Clifford Saber II alarm?

I am confuse as to which color of the wire I need to use from the Ignition harness to hook up the Relay?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

your alarm should have a "ground when armed (-)" wire, orange in colour.  wire your relay as follows...

pin 85-     ground when armed (neg output)

pin 86-      +12v constant

pin 30-      key side of the starter wire

pin 87a-       motor side of the starter wire

pin 87-  empty

i believe the starter wire in the corolla is RED and it is at the ignition harness

Will this hookup be better because it only works when the key is turned on momentary.  If Alarm is activated from 85, then 87a will be disconnected.  The Starter will not start as a result.

Thanks for your review and opinion!

87 - No connection

86 and 30 is connected together and go to the Ignition Switch.

87a - goto the Starter Solenoid ( motor side)
