Hi I just recently bought a 2002 durango that already came with the valet remote starter and also it does have the factory sentry alarm to.My question is.Is how much work will it take to install my viper 5900 sst 2way alarm/remote starter in the durango?Isnt the valet and the viper the same company?Would I be able to just disconnect the valet unit and plug in the viper unit and all off it component like the antena, shock sensor and just wire up the siren?

It will be a little more work than that however most of the vehicle wiring you will need to interface with should already be located. This should shave off quite a bit of time for you. You will probably need to locate and hook into the door triggers (or dome light if you choose) depending on the model of the Valet system the previous installer may have already hooked into the dome light circuit as well. All of the required wires for remote start as well as Sentry bypass should already be completed. Just take your time and you should be fine.
