i am going to get an add on remote start for someone and i was wondering what bypass modules i need to make it all work. the system im looking at is a valet remote start/keyless entry unit model #561R. this is going to be installed on a 2003 ford expedition. i want to be able to do away with the factory remote and use the valet remote for starting and lock/unlock.i just need to know what else i need to make it all work properly. i would really appreciate any help you can offer.

You'll need a transponder bypass. I use the keyoveride sl2 by fortin. Almost every alarm maker has some kind of transponder bypass though.

the valet brand im goint to use is made by dei. what would be the best bypass for this vehicle in the directed brand? also will the bypass work for remote start, factory alarm disarm and remote door locks?

make sure they already have two keys for the vehicle!! other than that, i suggest a databus bypass such as the XK04 (bypasskit.com)

You could also use another dei part.  556U/W transponder interface.  A little quicker and easier to hook up than the XK04.  Both will work great.

But then you lose a key with the 556U. I am not familiar with the XK04 but personally I would rather not lose a key and go with the Idatalink bypass.
