Couple of questions. I use pythons but this may be for other alarms as well.

2nd door lock unlock output - Why would I use??  Child safety on toyota models??

If a car needs an immobolizer will the car even try to start??

Some car require the key sense to be hooked up and some dont? As i read in other post, I understand that this is used because some cars cannot sense more than more key at a time (one in the iginition and one in the 555uw)... But what happens?  Does the car turn off when you put the second key in the iginition??

Thanks all....

the snd door unlock is used for passenger door open. Most cars will have an unlock wire that will unlock all doors. Some people want to have driver priority unlock, so u use ur main unlock to unlock driver door, then when u press unlock twice, it triggers second unlock for passenger. Toyota uses 1 pulse unlock to disarm the alarm system, and the second pulse to open doors.

depends on the car. Some cars will start then die out if the immobilizer is not valid. - eg older GM vehicle. some cars will crank but wont start includes honda, toyota, audi, and many more.

thing is, the toyota camry has the disarm wires for factory alarm, but u can use keysense to disable the factory alarm as well. some require it and some dont. the newer GM vehicles that use data, when 2 keys are seen, the system becomes buggy and acts really werid, giving error codes etc. There are some cars out there that if it sees 2 keys, it will cause the keys to blank out.. The car does not turn off when u insert a key into the ignition. the car will only turn off from remote start when the brake is pressed.

One more question.... Are Toyotas, Scions, Lexus very similar in setup as far as electrical systems are concerned? ie door locks, etc.

well they are basically one manufacture. Thing is, the wires are similar but not all the same. some will have differant colours and location as well. - but similar, not identicle.
