does it makes sense if i connect two antennas together  or cut  it off then reconnect to the other one (longer range) to increase the distance . (they are different brands) . is that possible ? or just a silly thing to do !

Silly it is!

Plausible. You may encounter different frequecy between the make. Why not just get one that was meant for longer range to begin with? They are quite affordable nowadays. Time=$, posted_image
