i just installed a remote start (avital 4200) and every thing went great till i got to the passlock II immoblizer, I used a 555l. the wire that go in to the plug on top of the key cylinder were yellow, ORANGE / white and tan. i have the yellow from the 555l to the key side of the yellow and the BLACK / YELLOW from the 555l to the non key side the i have the black wire from the 555l to the ORANGE / white and the vechile starts and remotes starts just fine but the security light stays on all the time and i can' figure out what i did wrong anyone have any ideas?

Did you solder your connections? If you used crimp connectors they can introduce a small amount of additional resistance. It may be close enough to start the vehicle but still trip the light. Try turning the key to the run position and leave it there for about 10 minutes, this will teach the vehicle the current resistance and should turn the light off.

all connections are soldered is it possable that i need to hook the black wire from the 555l to the tan wire instead of the ORANGE / white

Doesn't that car have a passlock 3? I'm sure it does, you need a 457GW to get rid of the light, or , you can use a Idatalink mod as well.

i think i have done one or 2 things wrong

1) is i used the black wire from the 555l needs to be on the tan wire not the ORANGE / white or

2) i need to hook up the keysense wire but i have never ever hooked one up before

Correct the tan is your passlock ground you should not be hooked to the ORANGE / white.
