Hello,
I have a Huatai HT-800D alarm fitted to my '98 Ford Econoline E-350 7.3 Powerstroke.Everything has worked just fine since installation, but recently I have experienced a problem.

After I get out of the car and closing the door, I activate the alarm with the remote control. The problem that has started recently, is that the alarm doesn't wait for the dome light to switch off before activating, the result is that the siren sounds instantly.

The alarm's operator manual says: the doors will arm automatically after the dome light is turned off. But it must be pretty obvious that the alarm now activate before dome light has switched off, and therefore belives that there is a door open, and the siren starts sounding. If I wait about 10-15 seconds before activating the alarm after leaving the car, the problem is gone, these few seconds is enough to delay the whole process, and eveything is back to normally.

Anyone who has experienced similar problems, or know what the problem might be ? Would appreciate all help regarding this matter.

It seems like your alarm has reset to its origanal programming options read the manual and look for the domelight delay option and how to program it......if that doesnt work or it doesnt have DLD you might just have to wait the 15 secs.  Is it possible your trucks domelight supervision was off before via a fuse or...? just throwing suggestions

Thanks for your reply, but the problem seems to be sorted out now.

I had to diode-isolate the wiring to the "illuminated entry module", everything is working fine now.
