Sorry to hijack your thread but I have one of these next week and i am looking for a parking light wire and also the horn wire. Astrochart says to solder to pin on relay under hood. Anything else?

Use hazards, WHITE/ DARK BLUE (-) STEERING CONTROL MODULE PIN 16 IN 16 PIN PLUG. STEERING CONTROL MODULE IS LOCATED IN THE STEERING COLUMN

yup, thats what we did on the cherokee we had, use the hazards, works just fine.

Good luck with the install, best bet is to use separate transponder and door lock modules, not a combo interface, and stay away from the data interface for the immobilizer, just use a 556UW or equivalent.

as far as second starter/accessory is concerned, directechs has a wire diagram for a set of relays to make it work as the purple-brown wire is going to have to see ground through a series of resistors., normally the data bypasses would handle this but they are sketch at best, as we had one in our bay for 15 hours before it started working (only after pulling the data module out and replacing with the relays.)

hope this helps you man, this car is a PITA

I had planned on using a chdl7pk2. Has anyone had success with this module? I really wouldn't need to use park lights or hazards for that matter as I'm putting in a 2way system. Horn isn't really an issue either. However this bypass issue that I'm hearing has me concerned.

it could have been that ours was just a fluke car, but we were initially using an XK532 with CHDL7 2.0 for firmware

w tried 5 different ones and not a single one took the programming.

Use the PATS-CHRYLSER-04+ from Fortin. This takes care of the MUX starter and also the OEM alarm disarm, works like a charm.

So is it the transponder that everyone is having trouble programming or is it the resistance-based stuff that isn't working. I was hoping to use a combo module to get the door locks also or is that the issue at hand.

its the transponder we had problems with, and as a result of it not taking the programming the other portions of the bypass would not work

Worst case scenario use a universal bypass and just take the circuit board out of the head of the key. The actual key can still be used to start the vehicle but no keyless from that key.

Did a jeep gc (06) used the chdl7pk2, worked well easy. You can also get parking lights a relay in underheeod fuse box.
