Here is my wiring, any pics will be added if needed. 6-Pin Main Ignition Wire Wire On Vehicle Location Red (+12 Battery) Pink/Black Ignition Harness 5-Pin Secondary Wire Wire On Vehicle Location 12-Pin Accessories Harness I've yet to install the 12-pin Accessories Harness due to the fact that i'd like to see the system atleast start. Is there something in the Accessories Harness that is needed to be able to start the vehicle? Once i plug the CT-3310 in it clicks and thats it, i can't get it to accept the remote and i can't get the parking lights to come on with any of the functions to even verify its working. I would appreciate any help figuring this out. Thanks again. hypertension Replies: Posted By: Twelvoltz Date Posted: December 24, 2007 at 1:07 PM 1. I would strongly recommend moving that ground to the kick panel, clean all paint and primer from a piece of metal that has no wiring behind it. Use a self tapping screw and a star washer with a ring terminal on the system ground wire.
2. Make sure you follow the programming instructions to the letter...taken from the manual: "Flashing the Hood Pin What is Flashing the Hood Pin? It is a procedure that makes the module go into the programming centre. Once the module is in the programming centre, the installer has no more than 20 seconds to get into one of the sub-menus. Failure to do so will result in the module exiting the programming centre and the installer will have to flash the hood pin once more. Remember: You can use the Programming Assistance Button (PAB) instead of the Hood Pin any time the Hood is up. The Installer … The Module … 1. Press and hold the hood pin for 4 seconds. 2. Let go of the hood pin. Parking Lights “ON” 3. While the parking lights are on, press down the hood pin once more. 4. Release the hood pin again. “ON” for 20 seconds 5. You now have 20 seconds to select one of the submenus. Once inside the programming centre, the Installer has a selection of many different submenus. Once you are in the programming centre, you have the option of the following menus: a) Transmitter Programming ………………….. p.10 b) Programming Options …………………..… p.11 c) Honk Horn Timing* (*if available) ………..… p.13 d) Tach Programming …………………..……… p.12 Remember: You have up to 20 seconds, once the parking lights are on solid, to select a submenu, Failure to do so will result in the module exiting the programming centre and the installer will have to flash the hood pin once more. P. 10 Installation Guide CT-3310 The Programming Assistance Button (A.k.a. PAB.) The PAB is located on the side of the module. This push button mimics the hood pin switch in order to avoid having to get out of the vehicle and pressing the hood pin switch. The PAB will work only when the hood is up. Before Programming a Transmitter The transmitter is not delivered pre-programmed: it must be programmed after the wiring of the module is completed. The module has the ability to retain up to 4 different transmitter codes; if a fifth transmitter is programmed, the code of the first transmitter will be erased from memory. How to Program the Transmitter. 1. FLASH the hood pin switch. Before the 20 seconds have passed, turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position and then to the OFF position. 2. Press and hold the LOCK button until the vehicle gives 5 flashes. The module has stored the transmitter in its memory. 3. Close the hood, to exit." Keep us posted on your progress. ------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies. Posted By: hypertension Date Posted: December 24, 2007 at 2:12 PM I've cleaned up the ground and installed it as you've suggested and i follow the programming instructions to the letter and the parking light doesnt come on. Could this be defective?

DEI is showing that the constant hot in the 99 Caravan is Red, not pink/black. The BLACK/ orange is listed as ignition, not accessory. DEI has been known to list an accessory wire as an second ignition when in fact the wire is an accessory to show that it is a mandatory connection. ------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies. Posted By: hypertension Date Posted: December 24, 2007 at 3:51 PM I've tested the pink/black to be a +12v constant yes. So for the BLACK/ orange which i have conntected as accessory which should i connect it to then? Splice it with the ignition? or ? See the green wire on the ct-3310 is used as 2nd ignition/accessory/starter according to the manuel and the wiring i got from Prostarts website says it snot used... i read someone hooked it up to the BLACK/ white so thats what i did, maybe i should remove it and connect it somewhere else? Also to ask another question i've got the relays for the door locks which the manuel suggests a 250 ohm and 1500 ohm resister to be used, would a 220 or a 270 be good for that as i dont have any resistors and was gonna buy this package https://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=Resistors&product=2719018. Thanks again for the help. Posted By: talt Date Posted: December 25, 2007 at 5:16 PM Hi Hypertension, I am just going thru the same exercise as you are, trying to install same device on similar vehicle – Plymouth G. Voyager 1999. I did not installed the devise yet. In order not to incapacitate my only vehicle I just cutting wires and putting clamps (M/F) on both sides of the wire, connect them back using clamps. Later on I will prepare the device wires with clamps and diodes where required and I wont to connect them to the earlier prepared (clamped) connections using splitter clamps. On the manufacturer site they advise to connect battery to RED wire on Ignition Harness and not to Pink/Black. IMHO it is better to leave wires that stated as “not available” in the wiring diagram not connected at all. It also says that DOORPIN should be connected to yellow at headlight switch, but don’t know what of the device wires should be connected there. The only yellow wire that I found on headlight switch is on connector that placed just behind mirror adjustment button and I am not sure that it is the right wire. Let exchange information , it may help p.s. if you close to GTA it is cheapper to by resistors, diodes etc in Sayal and not in SourceCC.

Insted of paying 8 for a relay and 5 for resistors + tax, going to sayals will cost you 10 dollars for 2 relays, crap load of resistor, heat shrink wrap, diodes, wire loom and maybe an LED. as for programming, i installed the CT3400 in my aunts car, and to be honest, i though it was a PITA to program. i thought i would never finish. dont bother using the hood pin. use the BLACK button on the side of the unit. 20 seconds patience is key. i think its stupid how the company doesnt pre program the keyfobs to the unit. this is why i like compustar and DEI. Prostart are really good units and they are very well priced. Well after you get that badboy programmed, its smooth sailing on from there. Posted By: tedmond Date Posted: December 25, 2007 at 6:16 PM hey talt, DOOR PIN - BROWN / WHITE (-) @ Lower right side of Drivers kick panel in Gray connector at fusebox. if you cant get it, there is also a also, if you got audio in your car, wire up the trunk and hood pins (factory) PARKING LIGHTS Parking lights (-) - Light GREEN / WHITE @ light switch. AS for locks, it is a 1 wire negative locks. wire up relay like so. LOCK RELAY 85 - constant 12v UNLOCK RELAY 85 - constant 12v hope i helped you guys out. if u need any more info or help, just ask. GOOD LUCK ! make sure u use a DMM !!! Posted By: tedmond Date Posted: December 25, 2007 at 6:33 PM sorry that i keep posting seperate posts but i always read and see what i missed out and its been too long to edit. PARKING BRAKE N/A NOT AVAILABLE N/A just ground the parking brake wire straight to ground. this saves u time insted of pulling ebrake, the vehicle starts everytime. BTW, where did you get your diagrams from? some wires are off colour. As for wires, they used to be those colours. the company changed them. so ifu need up to date wiring, i got em' Posted By: hypertension Date Posted: December 30, 2007 at 5:31 PM Well thanks for all your input guys, i've got things installed as follows. Also would like to note first that maybe others diagrams are abit different as they are doing another model of the starter so just to be sure we are on the same page i've got the CT-3310 2-In-1 Model. 6-Pin Main Ignition Wire Wire On Vehicle Location Red (+12 Battery) Red Ignition Harness 5-Pin Secondary Wire Wire On Vehicle Location According to the Autosoft/Autostart wiring diagram from Prostarts website they state for the parking light to be connected to the GREEN / WHITE and someone in this post suggested Lt GREEN / WHITE but i found it to be the Orange wire at the headlight switch. There are 4 wires there total GREEN / WHITE, GREEN/ orange, Black and Orange. Now i've not installed the 12-Pin wireset yet due to the fact that i was doing this as a favor to my brother in law and he's got no time to finish it and will bring back the van later to complete the 12 Pin Harness and i'd like to be prepared to do that once he returns so maybe you guys could help me go over those wire? If you look on the installation Guide https://www.engines911.com/asdocs/CT-3310_ig_en_h450s200v100_070911.pdf pages 6 and 7 you'll see the 12 Pin Harness that i'm refering to. This is how i assume i'll install it and maybe you guys can tell me if i'm wrong. Sorry for the delay in feedback/replies but with xmas and family visiting i was busy. :) hypertension Posted By: 519civiconair Date Posted: January 02, 2008 at 10:25 AM Did the unit come with a push button valet switch? if so try turning ign. ON push and hold switch turn ign. off. Then try and program remote.... if that still no response try pushing and holding switch then turn the ign. on. the unit should "click" as ign. is turned "OFF" in first method OR "ON" in the second method I believe they come in valet mode or something which causes them not to be able to enter program mode...... or do practically anything the remotestart is meant todo.... Hope it works for you I had the same problem with a AS1424 just this morning and its up running and out the door (Thank the lord)
