Hey guys,

Long time spectator, but first time posting here. I have a question for you guys, any help is appreciated. I just installed an Audiovox 1 button remote start system. No keyless entry, no security, no nothing, just a one button system was installed. Today (it was installed last week) I get a call saying all of a sudden the factory security system is going off every time she tries to remote start and the car shuts off. Any ideas going on here? The car is cranking but thats all it does while the factory security is going off. Granted I did not touch the factory security system at all during the remote start installation. It was my first remote start ever on a VW so it was a learning experience for me. It did require the basic universal bypass module to be installed and that went in with no problems at all.

Here is the model remote start that was installed:

Now I probably made a n00bie mistake most likely, this is only my fifth remote start that I have installed so far so any advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys!

O did use the wire printout from here and Audiovox as well. The actually remote start system only has 1 wire that is relevant to the factory security system. This site labels the disarm wire as "Factory Disarm      w/Locks        Need 2 Pulse to Unlock Doors" Any idea on a location for this, assuming this is my problem?
