1999 civic remote start, keyless

I've got a couple issues with the recent BOA remote start and keyless entry system I installed on a '99 Civic. The main reason for getting this was that its a base model and did not come with keyless entry, so that's the main thing she wanted. I got everything installed and managed to program the remote. It will remote start the car just like clockwork and has adequate range. But, the parking lights do not flash, and also the doors will not lock or unlock. I'm thinking that I may have tapped into the wrong wires which I found just up and to the left of the main fuse panel. They are the right colors, but I thought they seemed kind of small gauge. The instructions on BOA's site say to tap into the wires at the OEM keyless module, but this car did not have keyless. Can anyone who's worked on a late 90's civic tell me exactly where to locate the correct parking light, and lock wires?

First problem you mentioined is the lights dont flash. Make sure you have the jumper set properly on the unit. If your sending them the wrong polarity ofcourse they wont work. Also, are you sure you have door lock actuators? Most "base" model cars are prewired for power doors but lead to an empty harness. Make sure you have actuators. Also, do your instructions say anything about 5wi lights or alternating polarity? please reply with these specs.

Grab the door lock wires at the alarm plug ( it's WHITE ) located in the drivers kick panel. You have to remove the kick panel and it will be right at the lowest point where the floor meets the kick panel.

As far as the parking lights there is a row of 3 - 5 male spade connectors at the fuse panel. I think it's the 3rd on from the left that is your (+) parking lights. Use a DMM to test to make sure that it is the right one.

Thanks for the tips Velocity, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'd normally just test around with my meter to find them, but working in an unheated garage at 20 degrees has not been fun. The car has pwr locks, so I'm sure there are actuators. Luckily everything else was easily accessible under the steering wheel, and even the tach wire was pretty easy to locate.
