I am having problems with the doors unlocking on my 2003 Trailblazer. I am using a DEI VALET system with an XK01 bypass kit. The Autostart, and door locking work fine. The UNLOCK problem seems to be associated with the factory security. After pressing Unlock/Disarm on the Valet Autostart/Keyless entry remote, I can't even manually ground the input to the XK01 and unlock the doors.
There seems to be an 8-10 second window of time after disarming the system that the vehicle will not accept the signal. The vehicle even tries to lock the doors again after 8-10 seconds have elapsed since disarming the system.
Here are some details:
With Lock/Unlock wires connected from Valet to XK01
When Locking/Arming system
All Doors Lock
Interior lights turn on for 16 seconds or so
Security Light on Dash turns on for 30 seconds or so
Parking Lights flash once
Windows roll up sometimes. Usually the front 2 windows roll up together, then the driver side rear, then passenger side rear.
Status LED starts flashing
When Unlocking/Disarming
Doors DON'T unlock. The vehicle tries to lock doors 10 seconds after Disarming even though there still locked. The dashboard security light comes on simultaneously when the vehicle tries to lock the doors.
Interior lights come on immediately when disarming
Parking lights flash twice
Status LED stops flashing
With XK01 Unlock wire (Green) disconnected
The doors will still not unlock if I manually ground the Green wire within 8-10 seconds after disarming the system. The vehicle tries to lock the doors after 8-10 seconds even though there still locked.
The doors will unlock if I ground the green wire AFTER the vehicle tries to lock the doors, which is 8-10 seconds after disarming the system
The doors will unlock if I ground the green wire while the system is armed also. Actually, 1 tap to ground unlocks driver door and 2 taps unlocks all doors.
I hope this is enough detail. I really appreciate the help.
Mike
Yes, I checked to make sure it's in MODE1. How do I know if the XK01 has the AMDL firmware loaded?
Thanks for the reply.
