I am installing  a code alarm ca-670 remote starter on a 1998 Navigator. The owner only has one key, is there a bypass on the market that will allow bypass programing with one key for this model vehicle,  Like the ca xk04 that i have on a 2005 f-150?

thanks in advance

JD

No. You need two keys to access the vehicle program mode. If you dont have 2 keys, I don't know of any bypass that will program to vehicle.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

According to the install manual for  the keyoveride sl2, it only needs one key to actually program the unit, and is the case up to 01 vehicles. I use this module all the time, but have never run into this situation...so i can't tell you for sure if it will work. I'm sure someone has used this module with one key, and will chime in....if not, email Fortin support....they will get back to you.

dei used to make a part 555f.  it would allow you to program with just one key.  you basically program it with the main key and then there is an ant. that u place near the ignition cyclinder that will transmit the programming code to the vehicle ignition.  i didnt have a second key for my 01 expedition and used this model and all worked well.  i would suspect that the 98 navigator is no different.....

if at first u dont succeed........ lower ur standards
