ok i installed a alarm with remote start on a 2001 honda accord, everything works except the remote start. its a hi tech 1150 alarm and i am using the universal by-pass (pass 4). the instructions say to conn. the red wire to constant, and the blue wire to an isolated, negative ignition output of the the remote start module. so i connected the blue wire to the 2nd channel which is neg. I tried to start the car by remote but it would not start. so i took the spare key and placed it in the ignition and then tryied to start it and it started with no problem. my ? is the 2nd channel wire the right wire, if not what is the correct wire. and is there a certain way to wrap the antenna loop around the ignition.

NO you have to use a wire that turns negative when you remote start the car. I'm not familiar with you remote starter , but look at the installation manual and look for a wire that says. Third ignition output negative (- ) or status output ( - )

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
