I am trying to get the doors locks working. I have a Autopage RS-1000 and i am using relays. I do have a factory alarm installed.

Yesterday I had the 644 ohm and the 1565 ohm hooked up to the purple light blue wire. nothing would happen when I hit arm/lock but when I would hit disarm/unlock it would lock the doors.

When it locked I do not believe it armed the factory alarm. what I need to know what is the easiest way to test to see what resister value I need to lock and unlock through the purple light blue wire.

Today I was able to get the lock and unlock to work through the purple dark green using the 820 and 330 resisters. When I would lock/arm it would lock and arm the factory alarm. When I would unlock it would unlock and disarm the factory alarm if unlocked withen the first 3 minutes. If i waited longer than 3 minutes it would not disarm the factory alarm.

Any help would great.

Thanks

to measure EXACT resistance.   Cut the wire, place the positive lead of your DMM on the switch side of the wire, place the ground side of your DMM to a suitable vehicle ground.  Hold the switch in the lock position and look at your DMM which should be set in ohms....now you have the EXACT value for that car

The Astrochart shows PURPLE / lt.blue:  Lock thru 450ohms    Unlock thru 1800ohms  This controls the alarm as well, double pulse on unlock.

If you get tired of screwing with resistors.....get a lock module.

Staleyp,

I recieved a diagram from  Auo page for my 2005.  It shows using a 2Kohm resister from the lock relay and a 480ohm resister from the unlock relay. It also shows connecting the (-) Disarm lead from the RS to the same pin as the (-) unlock.  He said I wouldn't need this as I didn't have an alarm.

If you wouldlike to PM me I can forward you the diagrams.

I got the door locks working today and it also disarms and arms the factory alarm as well.

I used a 1.8K resister for locks on the purple light blue wire
I used a 470 resister for the unlock with double pulse on the purple light blue wire.

To test it is used a pot so I could test and change things quickly.

Thanks for everybodies suggestions.
