I am installing the 712t on a 2005 taurus without oem keyless entry.
This car has neg input door locks. I am a little fuzzy on the 712 interanl relay wiring. I would ground the violet and violet/black #87. Thease two wires are joined together at a fuse. Would I use the blue/black for unlock and the GREEN/ black for lock? I also have the problem of the BCM going to sleep. I am not sure if the Dome lite supervisory input or output circuit will wake it up. Thanks Dan
Here's a diagram of the Directed 451M door lock relay. It's basically the same layout as the Valet 712T (which I also have installed).
You'll first have to determine whether your current central locking is positively or negatively pulsed. But yes, blue/black is unlock, GREEN/ black is lock.
What's the BCM...? As the installation manual states, you'll first have to determine whether your domelight circuit is positively or negatively switched.

Thanks The BCM is Body Control Module. It is a computer box that runs all of the non drive train components. After 5 minutes the BCM shuts down to save the battery. I put one aftermarket keyless on the car and you could not make it unlock the door after it went to sleep. When you open the door the dome light circuit will make it come on again. You can reprogram the bcm to leave it on,but I can't seem to make that work.
