We have installed some Idata Link Modules.

We are noticing some issues with them.

Wont program
Needs constant updates
DLSLHA- shows door triggers when hooking up the doors a week later.

Just some examples

Is anyone else noticing the same problems?

IF a unit doesn't program, the something is likely hooked up wrong or has the wrong software on it. I have installed countless idatalink units and no real problems to date. Now I have seen a few that did NOT provide outputs etc that they claimed to, but even these were rectfied with a software update not too long after.

make sure you are selecting non datalink mode before programs.

first idata piece i used was for a 2007 altima push start

programmed just fine .

when i started the car with the key or the remote starter it would leave the security and the key indicator light on in the cluster

so i did the dei sacrifice a keybob method worked great

nothing like installing a starter in a vehicle twice to get it to work

The only problem that I've had was with one module that wouldn't program. I've used about 300 of them this season already without problems with function or programming.

i only used maybe 15 and no problems what so ever. Its just the tach ouput is probably the worst tach that unit can send out via data. I guess they should fix that, but oh well i go straight to the coil just to be 100% safe.
