i will be putting remote starts in the 2 vehicles listed in the title. what would be the best bypass unit i could use. i have zero experience with the 555U so im a little leary about not using a more vehicle specific unit.

also, if anyone is able to sell what i need to me, shoot me a PM with prices. Any help is much appreciated. thanks

The shop I work at use the xk04 for ford vehicles. If it is a 2000 it should be a pats 1 system. I did a 2003 ford f-150 today that only needed 1 key to program the xk04. It was easy to hook up. For the grand prix it should have a passlock II system. I would use the resistor with relay or self learning module.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix is actually a PK3 system.  The 555U will work fine for that, easy to hook up.
