Please help, I tried to program my remotes today by grounding the hood pin wire and turning the key to the on position, pressed the program button 4 times and nothing. I tried to put it in the program function by pressing the program button 5 times and got confirmation. Any idea of why I cannot get into the remote programming. I was trying to replace worn out remotes.

make sure the hoodpin wire is actually grounded,sometimes I use a jumper wire.Today I had a hard time trying to program a tach source and it turned out to be a bad program switch.
