Can anyone help me.

I am installing a xk05 in a 2005 accord.

Everything was fine, went to do my final checks and get the security light.

I removed the bypass and temp reconnected the Ignition wire at the key cylinder.

Now I get the security light flash for both ignition keys.

Is there a way to reset this....... HELP!!!

Have you disconnected the car's battery for 15 minutes?

Does each of the OEM keys actually start the car?  Yet the security light blinks regardless?

Also -- if they do not start the car, I believe you'll have to reprogram them into the Honda ECU, and that may require a Honda-tech tool... i'll do some investigation online now

Off a tech site:

"Honda requires the RW2 Computer Software to program additional keys. Your local Honda Dealer will be happy to assist you with the programming."

Are you sure the XK05 is wired correctly?

I would test all of the wires at the Honda's key cylinder.

There's an ignition wire in there somewhere.......I think BROWN / yellow is ground.....WHITE/ red (a little thicker than the others) is constant.

If the thing doesn't have ignition and constant, check all the fuses, in all the fuseboxes in the car.

No, the keys cause the light green Key light to flash.

I am going to go and restore the wires and check fuses now.

I just need it to start, the RS can wait.

ALL fuses are good(Unless there is a third fusebox)
I restored the wires for key bypass (white plug dash-side of Ignition Switch)
I am absolutely out of ideas.

The only repair I have had to pay for when I was self employed since 1994 was a hazard switch replacement at a car dealer for $380.00 for a customer in a Chevy Blazer. I was taking dash apart and the hazard switch caught on dash piece.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

No - I was going to look at it last summer but never did.
Now I am kicking myself.

I have been doing this on and off for the last 10 years, over the last couple of years I have been doing 20 starts or so per season.
This is the first time I have EVER done damage to a customer car.
It really throws a punch at the old self esteem.

I have canceled all appointments until I get some sort of coverage.
If insurance isn't affordable I will have to quit installing.
