is honda accord disarm wire required

Installed 2w900fm-as alarm and remote starter on 05 Honda accord v6 ex. Wired trunk release and trigger, door unlock and lock, pkh3 bypass. Everything is working and the car remote start even with the factory alarm arm. Do I still need to hook up the disarm wire at the door switch? Is it required for my Compustar alarm/remote start to work properly. I noticed that when I manually armed my factory alarm then restart the remote start. The factory alarm gets disarmed. I thought the car will not start since the factory alarm is armed, but the car does start and it automatically disable the factory alarm. Also when the factory alarm is armed, I can disarm it by unlocking the door with the Compustar or pressing the door switch. I can even start the car with the key when the car is factory armed. I don't see any benefit from the factory alarm beside unlock/lock/trunk. So what is the purpose of hooking up the factory disarm wire?

What you have to do is wait at least 2 minutes after you arm the factory alarm....... Then try to remote start.  It the alarm goes off then that would be the reason why you need to hook up that wire.

the factory alarm is simply an alarm, the lock/unlock/trunk are just convenience features and usually come on all new cars regardless if the vehicle has a factory alarm or not. the alarm usually does nothing more then honk the horn when it is triggered, you can still start the car. they usually have a lock confirmation honk on the 2nd press of the lock button but it doesn't mean there is actually an alarm.  try rolling down the window, hitting the lock button twice on the factory key fob. wait about a minute or two, the manually unlock the door from the handle inside and open the door. if the horn starts honking, you have an alarm, if it doesnt, your good to go.

You really dont have to hook up the factory disarm and arm wires to your aftermarket alarm. I mean you can because then youll have 2 alarms instead of 1. But what you can also do is simply disarm your factory alarm using the remote and simply just dont use that remote anymore. Therefore your factory alarm will stay disarmed. This way you dont have to worry about splicing and possibly ruining your factory alarm. Also some vehicles can only be disarmed using the remote reguardless if you splice the wires.

If it's your personal car...don't worry about hooking it up. You obviously have the factory remote on your key so you can't leave it at home.

Customer's car...hook it up. They'll surely end up locking with the door open(which arms the factory alarm), disarm with the compustar remote -> triggers factory alarm -> triggers frantic call to you asking what the hell is wrong with their car, interlaced with questions about your competence as an installer, because odds are they don't have the slightest idea what arms and disarms their factory alarm.

You can use a BypassKit XK01 if you really don't like taking door panels off...also you can use auxiliary channels, if you've got any, for window/open or close(works off the same wires as arm and disarm).

For the OEM alarm, lock with key in the door & make sure that all doors, trunk & hood are closed when you lock with key. Wait for the LED in the door to stop flashing fast and then try to remote start the vehicle. If you did not hook up the BLUE wire in the driver's door switch the alarm will go off on you.
