As the title states, I have a Compustar Pro CM4000 unit.
components being used:
Compustar Pro 2W900PRO-AS
KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 (ifar.ca) (bypass module)
now, compustar has a status output wire that I have connected to the bypass module, do I need to diode the same wire to connect the wire to the keysense wire on the vehicle as well. since the notes says "using the status output to trigger this wire during remote start will disarm the factory alarm without unlocking the doors."
so this is what i was originally going to do:
CM4000 status out to bypass module only.
bypass module keysense wire to keysense wire on vehicle.
should i be doing this rather.
put a diode on the status out wire so i can attach it to the keysense as well as put a diode on the wire for the bypass module for its keysense wire as well?
little bit confused at the moment.
any help would be appreciated it.

That key sence appears to be an INPUT, not an OUTPUT. So that won't work. I would diode isolate and use the staus output.

here's the notes.
Key Sense BLUE/BLACK (-) IGNITION HARNESS
STATUS OUTPUT DURING REMOTE START WILL DISARM ALARM WITHOUT UNLOCKING DOORS

Yes you do have it correct. I missread your post and thought you wanted to use the keysence on the CM4000 on the keysence of the car.... -------------

or do i need to diode both the wires for the keysense.
