I installed an Autopage RS-727 LCD on an 08 Explorer and when I go to use the remote start sometimes it says the door is open when their all closed. the bypass module I used controls the doors through the data bus on the OBDII what can I do to correct this use a diode? If so where would I put the diode? Thanks

This makes more sense. What module did you use? This sounds like the module is turning on the dome light as part of it's disarm sequence. I do not believe that you can change this.

556U immobilizer interface. I don't have the factory arm or disarm wires connected or the dome light suppervision. I think this is my problem. I don't know where to connect the arm and disarm wires. Sorry for the slow response, but I really do appreciate everyones help.

OK, I think you need to stop and regroup here. You did not use a 556U in an 05 Silverado. Because the 556U does not work in the 05 Silverado and if you did the truck would not remote start. So why not start over and explain the problem(s) you are having with the vehicle from the beginning.

If it is the Explorer and you do not want the indicator to come on then you need to isolate the door triggers and not use the dome light trigger for the alarm. How to do this is explained in great detail several times over on this site.

Ok I got all screwed up here. The problem im having with 2008 Explorer is I go to remote start it and the LCD screen on the remote acts as if it did start and then the door flashes like its open but the truck never starts. Sorry and thanks for being here with a response.

What happens in the truck when this goes on? Does the theft indicator in the dash flash? Does it attempt to start at all? Does the dome light in the vehicle come on when the 'door flashes'?

If you used a 556U in the 08 Explorer and the theft light is flashing rapidly when you try to RS the truck you need to adjust the ring so that the truck can see it. The truck is not picking up the signal from the ring, OR there is a problem with your gwr or constant hot feeds to the bypass module.

I'm sorry, I never posted up how this issue was resolved. The customer came back, the problem was he had a 3rd key programmed for the vehicle. When he had gotten the 3rd key programmed it wiped out the key in the box because it wasn't present at the time of the programming. What I had to do is have all 3 keys, put the first programmed key in the ignition, start it, shut it off. Put the second programmed key in the ignition, start it, shut it off, then put the last key that isn't programmed in the ignition, it programs the key to the others when you go to start it. Thats it! Thanks to everyone for their patience and help.
