Installing Alarm/Remote Starter on 2007 Lexus RX 400H. Problem is remote starter shuts downs and retries before car has the time to start up. I noticed with the key, the car still doesn't start until 10-15 seconds after I crank it. Then the car starts, gas motor for about 1 min then it switches over to the electric. Will this pose a problem for the Compustar unit? What will happen to the tach signal? Anyone else have any luck with hybrid cars, esp Toyotas? How do I get around this? I have a feeling they all act the same way.
Side Note: Also truck release wire doesn't prove to be a strong enough ground to activate the power door. But a simple relay will solve that problem.

Set it to voltage sense or alternating sense for the signal for the Compustar. See which one works best in your climate. Most of the time alternating sense is the best one but in the case of a hybrid, the alternator may not have a stator wire ( but I'm not sure if the Lexus has one or not )

Follow Up:
Well, I got the remote start up and running (Somtimes)
I have the CM3000 set to tach, went straight to a coil for the signal.
I got it to start the car, by setting the diesel delay timer to 15 seconds.
The problem now is the car chooses which motor to start, sometimes its the electric, other times its the gas engine. So depending on which, the remote starters kicks in. I have all the AC controls on full blast in an attempt to make the gas engine start the car, but to no avail. After this experience, I'm not sure a Lexus RX 400H can be worked on, at least in regards to a fully fuctioning remote starter.
Side Note: The Truck Release Pulse is not long enough to trigger the trunk to open. At first I thought the ground was't strong enough coming from the brain so I put in a relay, but to no avail again. It takes about a 1 second ground to release the trunk and the CM3000 only provides about 0.5 sec ground pulse.

if you set the heat to on high before you shut off the truck the gas engine will run for longer than 1 minute.
