Does anyone in here use this system.  It state that this system have 9000feet in range but I can not get it pass 500feet.  Is there something that I need to set in the control unit.   I was disappointed by this unit. :(  any suggestion on the range.  thanks in advance.

hi fastzones, i actually had a customer bring me a 2300c which is suppose to be the top of the line. i had moved te antenna everywhere and couldn't get pass maybe 700ft. we even put it out side the truck just for kicks and we maybe 10 ft further. i thinnk is 9000ft if you're in a desert with nothing to interfere with the signal. he was also not impressed with it also. maybe its because i'm a DEI man. other than that the alarm works fine. its been 3 months since and he's had no problems with it. seriously bro do you really want to start your car from 1.5 miles away? lol

i purchased one of those units a while back to prove that it wouldnt beat my compustar pro. Its true, the range is actaully VERY good. it will reach about the distance of the 2W900FM aproxx 3000feet max range. Had no problems but removed it as i didnt like it more than my pro compustart P2W900FM-AS. check our ground connection and the placement of the antenna. If the antenna is behind a tint band on the windshied, you loose alot of range.

Thanks for reply,

Well, it couldn't start my car when I am at work and I part it like 300ft from the building "very disappointed"  I place the antenna on the side of the windshied, it really close to the tint band there, i wonder that could affected.

tedmond what ground wire are you talking about.  I ground all the wire that stated in the manual, I'll check again to make sure,  thanks

if you missed a ground wire the unit wouldnt even turn on. what i said was check and see if the ground connection is a reliable one. move it to the kick panel and screw it down with a star washer or to a bolt with no paint around it (clear of residu) and you should get better range. move the antenna away from the tint band.

Thanks Tedmond,  I am 100% sure the ground wire are good,  because I bolt it to the one exited with all other ground of the factory car units.  It might be the antenna.  I will move it to the top of the windshied and see what happen.

Move the antenna to the middle of the windshield and it still no good.  I might have a defective unit. maybe the antenna on the remote is bad...or something
