HELLO to everyone!! here the issue. my car wont start!!! the alarm remote start system used to work fine then all of a sudden i could turn the key and get nothing if i cycled the door locks a couple of times... the car would start. but if i used the remote the car would NOT start.. my car has been sitting all winter i had i started about 3 weeks ago and everything was fine.. go to start it yesteday NOTHIN tried cycling the doorlocks NOTHIN so i replaced the battery just to be on the safe side, hooked everthing back up NOTHIN the remote start wont start the car the key wont start the car i get the idiot lights and gauges like its going to start but then there is NOTHIN... i dont know who put the alarm in or anything but i can get to all the brain boxes there are like 3 of them.. my best guess is that it has something to do with the factory alarm starter kill.. wich is a decent place to start but i know nothing about the wiring on this car and or unit.. i just downloanded and printed off the manual for the python alarm. i need to know a general direction to start in to fix this issue and also is their i way i can BYPASS this whole system completely.. the python alarm is tied into the factory alarm from what i can tell.. i hope i got enough infor for you gurus so you can help me just ask away if you need some more THANKS SO MUCH!!!!! karl

First check to see the databus wire is NOT disconnected at the diagnostics connector........ If that isnt it try and...........Put the key in the ignition turn it to run and leave it for for 10-15min (make sure your battery is STRONG). now you should be able to start car (possibly remotestart)... if it doesnt remotestart you will need to find out the bypass brand/part# if it is selflearning you will need to "relearn it". hope this helps. ------------- F.B.S.S air ride is the only way to roll

open up your lower dash and look for the alarm. If you see it, remove power from the unit ot look for the starter kill relay. It could be a bypass issue. Check your dash and look for a SECURITY THEFT light. if its flashing, then its a bypass issue. When you try to start, does it even crank at all? or you get all cluster lights but no crank. If so this is the starter kill for sure.

If it has a Starter kill, the relay may be latched open breaking the connection of your starter wire. Try checking out your Ignition wires, I believe the starter wire in that vehicle is Yellow. If it has been cut to have a starter kill installed, try reconnecting it s it was from GM and try starting it Again.
------------- Install it like everyone will see EVERY part of it.

555g is the module that bypasses the factory theft system so the car can start. 456a is a door lock module that is done through data. programming procedure for 555G 1) insert key into ignition, but dont turn it on, just place into cylinder 2) activate remote start. the 555G unit RED LED will turn on. 3) once the car starts, the 555G units RED LED will turn off. this tells you that the bypass code has been programmed properly 4) shut down remote start with the remotes or you can step on the brakes to dissengage remote start 5) activate remote start once more to ensure it has been programmed properly. Remeber to remove the key befor you remote start it again

from your alarm, look for a blue or blue with white that sats GROUND WHILE RUNNING or STATUS OUTPUT. make sure that is connected to the BLUE WIRE on the 555G

there is a blue wire that comes off the secondary connector on the relay... there is a blue wire that comes off of the 555g and there is a light blue wire that comes off the 456a.. the two wires off of the 555g and 456a are connected together with another wire..(i do not know what these wires are for or what they do.. ) according to the install book the light blue wire is for the door lock unlock. and the one off of the 555g is for data.. if i connect both of those to the blue data wire on the secondary connector in the relay. i still get nothing. but lights. I connected the yellow wire that was cut for the starter and disconnected the relay and still nothing.. the heavy gauge wires are all soldered together. what do i check on next?
