hey guys, wondering if someone could help. I am working on a 2006 Mazda 3 with a standard transmission, and am looking for the parking brake wire. The info that I have says it is a BLACK/ lt. green at the bcm below the glove box. I found 3 connectors at this location with about a total of 3 BLACK/ lt.green wires, but all of them measure ground (-) even with the park brake off. Can someone verify the wire and location I have, or correct the info I have.

                                                                           Thank- you in advance

Have you considered looking at the switch @ the ebrake?

thanks for the reply KarTuneMan, Yes I thought about that but it looks a little tough to get into that center console area. Thought I had found where all the wires to that center piece come out and make there way underneath the passenger carpet to the passenger kick panel. also tested many wires there with no luck. Thanks again for the suggestion, I guess I will just keep looking for now.

The center console is clips start at the back of the console. Lift the armrest and pull up the area around the handbrake. It's very easy to remove. Also if you want to get the handbrake from the fusebox it's in the plug closet to the center of the car.
