ok, i'll try to make this as short as possible with all details
Installed: DEI Python 990 & 457GW
Problem: When I programmed the 457GW the engine of the SUV revved, I didn't think anything of it at the time nor am I sure what the revving was. So I killed the engine and cranked it again, the programming was successful. However, the check engine light remained on. Once again I didn't think anything of that either, as with newer cars if you even slightly tamper with the ign. harness lights can be trigger. I was simply going to reset the light tomorrow and be done with it. Well I was beginning to pull the car out the bay when I noticed 1st - my interior lights no longer were coming on. Another thing I figured I would check out tomorrow. Since on this particular vehicle the door pin does not function through the diagnostic plug, I caught the door pin from the domelight sueprvison wire instead of diode isolating and catching each door pin individually. My big problem came in when I was about to hit the gas for the first time and the engine did not rev up at all and I saw the gas light come on and drop down to "E" even though I just put gas in yesterday. The engine does not rev up or do anything, i'm not sure what is going on. It'll turn over but that's as much as you get out of it. You put it in drive and no matter how much you step on the gas it only goes 10mph tops.
I'm not sure if its the 457GW that sent the wrong code to the ECM or BCM causing it to act that way. I dosconnected the violet wire as well as the brackswitch wire to hopefully rectify it but that yielded the same results. A buddy of mine who has the toold to reset the check engine light and clear the errors was too drunk to come to the shop with it tonight so I had to push the SUV back into the shop and get a ride home until I can return to work and hope that resetting ti works.
I'm sure I hit all my wires correctly and I did grab the 2nd ingition (white in the ign harness) just to make sure. I followed the wiring diagram perfectly but i'm not sure if the 457GW caused this. It's the only thing that was put in and this has never happened before. I'm hoping for some insight as to what you guys think. I just hope its a faulty 457GW but i've only been doing installs for about 7 months so I know I could be wrong.

I know this may sound obvious but I find that 99% of the time if I have a vehicle that is acting up after an install it is something very basic. Try disconnecting the vehicle battery and with it disconnected take another look under the dash, re-check all of your wiring to ensure nothing is shorting out (anything's possible). Take a look to make sure that all of the molex plugs are firmly seated, it has been my experience in GM vehicles that the plugs are not always clipped all the way in from the factory and by installing a system and pulling on the wires you could unplug the harness and not know it. Once you have verified all is good with the system reconnect the battery and give it a try. I am pretty sure that you will find it is something very basic (like a loose molex at the BCM).
