Before I waste my time playing with it, is the DEI 2-way SST system compatible with older DEI 1-way remotes? I've done this with Omega Research alarms so that the user can have a backup remote, however I haven't heard one way or the other for DEI products.

Thanks in advance!

no it cant. you have to buy the sst responder remote and the correct companion remote for it. they now make one. its brand new- little hard to get hand on now. also need the sst responder antenna. but the wiring is same as 791. replace module, antenna and remotes.

to make sure I'm on the same page, I can get a companion remote now, but it comes as a kit with a new antenna that allows me to use the alarm with the regular SST remote and also the new companion remote?
