Installed a remote starter in my 02- sunfire with a PLJX module. It works fine now, but the passlock II light and check engine light remain on at all times as long as the PLJX is installed. Is it possible the GWR from my ultrastart isn't sending enough current to the PLJX or that the PLJX is defective?

If you unplug the PLJX, would the passlock 2 light goes away ?

Yes whenever I unplug the unit, the passlock II light goes away.

Does anyone know if the sunfire has a keysense wire?

got the jumper on the PLJX in the right position?

it should jump the two pins away from the connector, check that and reprogram.

yes the 02 sunfire has a keysense wire. Remove the steering column cover and there should be 3 little little wires to the right of the column. Should be yellow, black and white( if i remember correctly). They go to a grey connecter.

Thanks, which one is the keysense in there?

None of those are the keysense - those are the Passlock wires. Keysense is lt. green in the same connector with the regular ignition wires.  It shows 12v+ with the key out and goes to 0 when it's inserted.

Thanks Chris. The PLJX has a keysense wire that I never hooked up, so I will give that a try and see if that helps.
