Did you check fuses? Is there a bypass?

Did you check this with your DMM ? If so, then you have a defective CPU. Remove and go back to Canadian Tire and get a new one under warranty

yes, i checked it with a DOVM, no voltage output fron cpu on crank wires, this is the 3rd unit i tried today, but when i try to program the tach signal, i cant seem to get it to go right. i checked the tach wire and get about 6.5 volts, i thought this was high so i set the cpu to high thach threshold. but still no luck

have you checked all of the shut down inputs? I would do a quick check on the following directly at the plug at the brain with a DMM:
1) brake wire - Make sure that it only shows 12v when the brake is pressed.
2) hood pin - make sure that this wire is not grounding out and does not show a ground. If anything, cut this wire to be sure.
3) Neutral Safety switch - make sure this wire has a solid ground... whether it is through a switch, or however else it is connected. Just make sure it is a solid ground.
4) Make 100% sure that you have a good solid ground connection. To test this, take a wire from the negative terminal of your battery and test the resistance between the neg. battery terminal and the ground right at the plug at the brain. I am not 100% on the correct number, but I believe it should be no more than .005ohms. If I am wrong, Im sure someone can correct me.

I am not 100% familiar with this unit, but is there a seperate relay pack for the ignition wires, or is it all contained in one unit? If there are seperate units, make sure the signal wires are plugged in fully.

check your 12v connection where you spliced both reds to 12v, maybe cold solder joint. prostart in made by auto start one 12v line is for cpu and ign, the other is acc and start outputs

all conections seem to be fine, i just dont get it, i installed it last nov. my wife have used it several times a day until a few days ago when it quit, everything seem to check out fine .  so i returned it for a new one, same thing, returned that one, same thng again, got another new one and its still the same,so then i thought well maybe something with the veichle, but everything seems ok with it, but there was one thing, i had the +park light wire connected to the +prk wire @ the fuse pannel, and now the lighs dont flash when i press the remote, thereis +12v on that wire when i turn on the prk lt . so now i connected the -12prk lt wire fr the cpu to the -12 wire @ park light sw and the light now flash when i press the remote, but still no crank..................help....................please

On this lineup of products, 3 slow flashes after a failed start attempt means the module did not detect a tach signal. I would recommend you change your tach input to another location. Where do you have this wire connected to presently? You can take this wire at alot of locations in the vehicle. I usually go to the datalink/OBD II connector under the dash, but let us know where you took the signal from.

Also, it should be un-necessary to change the Tach Threshold jumper on this vehicle.

Good luck!

Which tach signal programming method are you using?  I generally use the autotach method on low threshold.  If you are having trouble, reset the module and start from scratch.  Also, are you pulling your tach signal from an injector or from the ECM?  I generally use the injectors and for the amount of ProStarts I install in a week (7-10 avg) I've yet to have an issue with tach signal being too weak.  It seems unlikely that 3 consecutive 3400TW's were duds.  The solution lies in slowing down and rechecking your wiring (I know it's tedious, but it will save you paying a tech like me min 1 hr labour charge to fix it).  If you need anything further feel free to message me.  I can help you out.

i was using the autotach on low threshold but after it quit it tried it on high threshold but still the same. i am pulling the tach signal from the OBD connector. i checked that wire and was getting 6.5 volts. so i now have it fully disconnected and will try re-installing on sat.

Thnks for the help

Use an injector for your tach signal.  Do a factory reset (flash the hoodpin and press the brake 6X) and go from there.  I see this so often it's not funny.  Just go step by step and you'll do just fine.
