Was wondering if any one has come across the starter not disengaging fast enough when remote starting.

I just installed an Autostart 2451 on a 2000 alero, i used the vurtual tach (but have had this problem hooking up the tach wire aswell). I also tried to move the jumper switch to the higher tach thresshold but made no difference.

so is this just a deal with it thing or what.

It depends on how much over crank there is a little is not bad for cold weather starts. But hook up the tach and program it when the rpms are low. The vts is supposed to adjust itself automatically though.
