I bought a new pro-start for my 1993 Hyundai Excel and figured it was a no brainer.  I can't get it to work, I traced all the wires with test lights and meters a dozen times and I have found all the correct wires to hook it up.  I have it hooked up and the car cranks but won't start, if I change the starter output wire(I think that is what it's called from memory)to one of the other remaining wires on the ignition, the car will crank and make an offer to go for a couple of seconds but stop but just crank.  I can put the key in and turn it on and use the remote  to crank the car and the car will start.  What am I missing?  I have tried every possible combination of wires and it don' matter.  Does the car have any kind of anti-theft or something, I didn't think a 93 hyundai execel would have anything.

Any thoughts anyone.

Jeff

Sounds like you missed an ignition wire, or that wire is not being powered up when you activate the RS. The 93 Excel only has one ignition, one accessory, one starter wire. Did you verify that the ignition wire (BLACK/ white) is getting +12V when you attempt to RS the vehicle?
