I have a 98 cavalier with a Prostart remote starter.  With the 350 module to bypass the passlock system.  For a year the car has been fine.  Now when i start the car with the remote starter the theft light goes out and after 10 minutes of driving it comes back on.  I dont have any problems when i drive the car and not use the remote starter.  Its kinda weird whats going on.  Thanks for your time

You need to make sure that all connections are nice and tight. Then re program the bypass module. If the problem doesnt go away, then you probably have a bypass going south.

The TB 350 requires no programming as it's a "key in a box" bypass.  Are you connected securely to both ignition wires?  In GM's leaving one of them disconnected will cause weird things like that to happen.

Yea a wire could have came loose or disconnected completly. First check all connections.

98 chev cavalier had a passlock I, it couldn't have a tb350, most likely it uses a patsk-600 check connections first, otherwise try to reprogram the bypass module.

That would be correct to assume you can't use a "key in box" on a passlock II system.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

what do you mean a key in a box?  The module is from autostart i think the part number is Patsk-350.  This unit is for paslock 1 and 2. I checked it both of the wires are connected

so i had something interestering happen the other day.  i started the car with the auto start.  it started and ran.  I didnt get out to the car in time and it shut off.  I tried starting the car with the key and the theft light was flashing.  I shut the car off and i could see the theft light blinking dimly.  I waited for it to stop blinking and then the car started but the theft light was on until i got half way home then it went out. Weird stuff going on.

Thanks

Your module is not working correctly. Try adjusting it as per the manual. It may just need replacing. Newer modules aren't that much money and tend to be more reliable.
