need rear defog info and dei says only the canadian models reqiure the transponder bypass how do i found out if it needs it or not does the key look different than normal or is there another way to find out?

wire up your remote start. Start the car with the remote start and if it starts you dont need a transponder. Also not for a theft light in the dash.

None of the models that I have ever done have had a bypass and you should be able to get the rear defog wire at the switch
