I am installing a Compustar 2way 8000 and using a idatalink mutli series bypass module.

I havent done one of these before and wondering if I am on the right track.

From the compustar

(12V constant Red and RED / White) to 12V

(output to starter Yellow) to starter kill relay cut Pink/Orange starter wire with the relay wires attacted

(output to ignition Green+Red)    red is attached to the relay. The Green is connected to the pink/Lt green on the ignition wire not sure about this one?

(ground Black) is grounded

Does the white output to accesory need to be connected to anything?

For the idatalink it shows the mux wire connected through a relay which is fine I think do I need a relay? For the coil the ground connects to the RS and I am using the status wire is this fine for this function?

All the other connections are pretty basic from the RS to the bypass but the ignition input do I just connect this to the same wire as the pink/lt green wire from the ignition?

So basicly the starter wire, ignition, and the mux and the two canH and canL are the only wires I tap into? Does the accesory white need to be connected or is the accesory done thru the MUX this has me confused.

I had it roughly connected last night and it was sorta working. I couldnt get the bypass module to program it went fine through all the steps except the last one after I turn the key off and push the unlock button the LED would not illuminate for 2 seconds to confirm the programm is complete. What could this be?

So with out the bypass module learned I couldnt lock/unlock or learn the tach. But the jeep would start for a few seconds and then turn off, I hope I am getting close. I had the shop programm the module, if I do the factory reset it doesnt erase the firmware does it?

Sorry for the novel but I hope you guys can help me out.
