hi...i am new to the 12 volt....i need some serious help!!! i have a 1999 integra and have just installed a clifford intelliguard 7000, thanks to all the info on this site....

i now want to install the smart windows accessiry...i just dont know how!!! i have the diagrams, but i dont know if i need to remove the door panels and run the wires to each individual door, or if i can catch the wires from the kick panel, or under the dash...i know that the drivers door has both controls for the driver and passenger, but do i have to wire the passenger side seperately?

i just need some sort of direction!!! if i have to remove and run the wires into each door, are there any tips on doing this? do i have to drill into the door to run the wires into it?

please help!!!!!

You can grab the wires at the driver's door. These will control both the driver's side and the passenger side windows. Run the wire into the boot so you don't have to drill a hole into the side of the car.

The HEADLIGHTS-------RED / wht (low)  12awg|+  |steering column. It depends on how you want the headlights to turn on ? Do you want them to be turned on automatically or with a press of your AUX button ?

TRUNK/HATCH PIN-------------green               (-) trigger. Make sure that you  have the correct wire and that it is hooked up to a (-) trigger wire on the alarm. The wire is located by the 12 pin blue plug on top center of fusebox.

Firts of all...thanks!!!i tried running it through the rubber boot, but the boot connects to a large gray connector in the door, so there is no way to fit the wires through in order to connect it to the window motor.....

https://www.directechs.com/guides/pdfs/Clifford/igs/smartwindows4_install.pdf  this is the diagram....its saying that i need to cut the wires for the motor before it reaches the switch....just a bit confusing....

one more question...the tach wire for the blakjax.....i see one blue wire on the distributor side of the connection...and two blue wires on the other side of the connector leading into the car...which one is the right one?

You will have to drill a hole into the connector. The module is intended to be installed between the motor and the switch. The tach wire you will use the single BLUE wire on the distributor.

okay.but after looking at the boot last night, i am a bit worried about driling a hole through the connector......i dont have a clear place on the plug to do this.....i need to run four wires into the door.....2 for the motor and 2 for the switch

just to clarify, after looking at the diagram, i  need to repeat this process on the passenger side also, right?

HEADLIGHTS......i read that i can program the alarm to be timed, pulsed etc.....i would lke to be able to turn them on and stay on until i press the button to turn them off..i know that the wire from the 7000 is gray with a yellow line....and thanks to your info i know where the headlight low beam is, but is it possible to have both high and low beams come on or maybe wired to come on/off on individual channels? would i have to ue seperate relays, for each....and of course i need to know how to wire the relays....i looked through the ones o this site, but i dont know which diagram to follow

me again!!!i just finished installing the smartwindows on the drivers side.....but now i have another problem.....when i arm the system, the windows go down......instead of up!!!!! and then they vent, by going up!!!!!

i checked all the connections, and the wires are correct........when i try to roll the windows up using the switch, it goes up in sections!!!! i have to keep hitting the switch to finally get the windows up!!!!!

do i need to disable the factory auto roll up feature?if so, how?

i have not connected the passengers side as yet, because i am awaiting a reply to my previous post, but could this be an issue?

or is it a programming issue? do you know how to reset the unit so that i can start all over? or maybe how to brogram the window properly?  i tried following cliffords instructions, but i know that i messed up!!!

please help me>>>>>!!!!<<<<<  thanks again

You can grab the passenger side window at the driver's kick panel or in the driver's door.

|  LF WINDOW UP/DN|RED / blu - RED / yel   |A  |in drivers door
|  RF WINDOW UP/DN|blu/yel - blu/grn   |A  |in drivers door or dkp

Make sure that you have the right wires accoring to the information above.

if the window goes up when you arm the system you have you motor wires backwards,  switch them.  did you put the module in the car or in the door?  it is easier to put it in the door but you hae to ground it in the car reason being the door is only grounded on the hinge and it is covered with grease and stuff.  you can get both sides from inside the drivers door.  the only difference is you will not have one touch up and down on the pass switch. only the drivers switch will roll up and down the pass switch with one touch.  if the module is in the door you only have to run your control wires and power and ground wires into the door.
