has anyone done one of these trucks with the "smart key" in it ?   not sure if it defeats the smart key option or not    any help on the bypass and diagram on how to install it    thanks in advance Joe

Did an 06 last season, did not need a bypass module. When the owner got into the car it still looked for the smart key before it would allow the key to turn forward to unlock the ignition key cylinder. DEI listed that it did require a bypass but the vehicle I worked on had a removable metal key in the head of the smart key that would start the vehicle even when the smart key was out of range for the vehicle to see. It was a very simple straight forward installation IMO.
