Car: GS400 Lexus
Alarm in Use: Viper 790XV

Because of a failure to turn off a domelight last night, we woke up to a dead car in the middle of winter (about 14 degrees outside this morning). Not fun.

After replacing the battery with the same model battery as previous, (yellow top) the car is refusing to turn over. All headlights and interior lights, including the radio work to full capacity when the key is inserted and turned to on position. The remote start even indicates the car is started for about 10 seconds before giving up. We have searched the internet and read the 'viper' manuel from front to back with no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did the car remote start perfectly fine prior to the battery going dead? Do you have a bypass module? Answer those 2 questions and I can help you.

Unplug the antenna for at least 15 seconds, and remove the battery from the remote. Then try arming and then disarming the alarm. If it works, try starting it.

Yes, the remote was working perfectly before the accident, everything was fine. Not sure what the 'bypass module' is...

Did you install the alarm yourself or was it installed by someone else or did you buy the car with it already been installed?

Also when pressing the unlock button the remote indicates that the door and trunk are being broke into.

We have tried to call the guys that installed the alarm and they are insisting we messed up the electrical system of the car when we tried to jump it....

So frustrated! We don't have a bypass module we have a 'buried key'

look under the dash and you will see the "relay pack" .  its a small rectangular box that has cables sticking out of it connecting to the ignition harness.  On the other side of the box you will see a cable plugged into it.  Unplug it and try to turn on the car.  If the remote works but shows that the trunk is open then its probably that the alarm is not resetting due to no input ingnition coming from the relay pack and/or its not plugged in right.
