I have had this problem as well and there doesn't seem to be any definite solution. It seems that it has 0 range and doesn't respond to the remote FOB ? Try putting it into valet mode with the communication module. Drive it around a bit and it will start working again afterwards. This has happened on 2 occassions for me and I've had the system for about 1.5 years.

Hi there,

In my opinion the Aladdin 2000 is a piece of junk. I had the same problem as you're describing among others with an Aladdin 2000 system I installed recentely. I got good information from Jeff at Velocity Motors, but in the end I had to retire the thing because it's lack of quality was making me look bad. I am replacing it with a Clifford Alarm and a DEI remote start system which seem to be coming to life quite well. Only problem is I can't get paid for the second system. I'm sticking with the better known brands!!!
