I am installing an Audiovox APS 57 remote start on a 2006 Jeep Commander with a Crimestopper Can SL2 bypass kit.  I have the remote start and bypass all wired in and when I try to start the jeep, I can hear clicking in the remote start module and that is it.  The vehicle will not crank at all.  I have checked my grounds and have ran the 12 V power wires to the battery.  Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.  Thanks.

How did you wire up the second starter wire? How did you bypass the Sentry key?

The second starter wire should be run through a relay like:

Pin 85: BLACK / YELLOW pulse during crank
Pin 86: Constant fused +12V
Pin 87: Ground
Pin 30: To PURPLE / brown in vehicle (second starter) through 150ohm resistor

Make sure this is hooked up properly, and temporarily disconnect whatever you used to bypass the Sentry key. Put a key in the ignition switch but leave it in the off position. This will take the possibility of the Sentry key being the problem out of the equation and let you troubleshoot just the RS portion of the install. Once it works with a key in the ignition you can move on to the Sentry key bypass.

get an ibuchgx2 bypass it does the transponder and the second starter its a really good bypass

Thanks Twelvoltz

I had the second starter relay wired

Pin 85: BLACK/ yellow pulse during crank

Pin 86: Fused 12 V

Pin 87: Ground with 180 ohm resistor (According to Chrysler's Starter #2 and Accessory Wire Guide)

Pin 30: PURPLE / Brown in vehicle

I am new at remote start installation, but would the resistor on the ground be causing the problem?  Or is it that I have the 180 ohm resistor in the circuit?

Thanks again for your help.

I apologize...I completely dropped the ball on this one.

I saw Commander and thought Caravan (and 05 at that), again I apologize as the information I provided in the earlier post is wrong.

Now on to your issue:
The point I was trying to make in the earlier post is that you should complete your wiring of the remote starter and test it before interfacing with the Sentry bypass. This makes things a little more straight forward when trying to troubleshoot a nonworking installation. Follow this diagram using 150ohms for the second starter resistor value. Once this is completed and working with the key in the ignition cylinder then move on to the Sentry bypass.
